Onboarding
It all starts with onboarding and orientation — a mix of online courses and on-the-job training for each Retail, Warehouse and Food Manufacturing role. Many onboarding activities and administrative tasks are completed via our internal people system before your first day.

On-the-Job
We have an internal Learning & Development team that develops and delivers training to all associates. Each new Retail associate receives at least 20 hours of training when they start. We also offer role-specific training for associates and leadership development for first line managers.

Online
Online training includes digital and electronic programs, along with access to LinkedIn Learning Library (primarily for management/leadership) where we have created customized learning journeys based on expectations for our leadership roles.
Community Support
- We are active in the community and have contributed both time and money to charities like United Way, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and City Gospel Mission, to name a few.
- Through our donation programs, we work with a variety of schools, not-for-profits and annual events each year to make donations, often in the form of ice cream, bottled water and donuts.
- We donated more than 300,000 pounds of food to local shelters in 2021 through our food rescue program and partnership with Last Mile Food Rescue.
- Many of our associates volunteer their time to a variety of charities and non-profits.
