Donut Bakery Sanitation Operators - Blue Ash

Working out of our Blue Ash Facility Sanitation Operators ensure that the equipment is clean, sanitized and ready to make our crave-able, delicious dough, batters, and donuts that are delivered fresh daily to our UDF Stores. Sanitation Operators are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and re-assembling all manufacturing, storage, and delivery equipment used in the facility for producing our donuts and baked good products.

Sanitation Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Complete tasks outlined in the master, daily and weekly sanitation schedule or as directly assigned by the QA/ sanitation supervisor and or lead.
  • Perform all duties following company safety procedures and guidelines with focus on zero injuries.
  • Utilize, store away and measure all chemicals while utilizing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all Lock Out Tag Out procedures (LOTO).
  • Must be able to assess area after cleaning to ensure sanitation is complete
  • Inspect each other’s work to make sure work is complete.
  • Must be able to partake in and complete the chemical training program.
  • Must be able to assess reoccurring sanitation issues, and present actions to mitigate issues.

  • Must be able to develop, present, and implement procedures for better sanitation practices.
  • Scrape, wash, and sanitize mixers, ovens, sheeter line, coolers, bathrooms, production lines, outside plant areas, parking lots, conveyor belts, pallet jacks, overheads and other equipment as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule – Sanitation is a totally inclusive process for the entire plant and building.
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment, transport equipment to the wash room. Operate tunnel and rack washers
  • Help train new hires.
  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Associate needs to be a Self-starter, gets involved quickly, takes on difficult tasks and takes initiative to achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • Maintains high activity/productivity level. Operates with sense of urgency, efficiency, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time an under hot, cold, indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders, when required.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule including weekends and most holidays.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.
  • Follow the 7 steps of wet and dry cleaning.
  • Utilize battery operated floor scrubbers.
  • Be able to work in wet conditions.
  • Adhere to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Familiarity with GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety and sanitation (i.e. HACCP, AIB, SQF)
  • Ability to work with limited supervision is required, must be a decision maker.
  • Proven ability to work independently while performing a variety of sanitation and production tasks 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Candidate must be able to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Previous experience in a Bakery or Food Manufacturing (Preferred) but not required.
  • Ability to handle constant physical workload.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
  • Read, write and communicate in English.
  • Be on time and willing to perform some overtime when necessary.
  • Must have dependable transportation to get from and to the job.
  • Be able to mentor the next team member
