Doughnut Bakery Production Associates - Blue Ash (HL 8-19)

Donut Bakery Production Associates will be given on the job training on our donut production line and areas such as dough and batter make up, glazing, icing, decorating, order picking and rack loading. Fast paced, safe, quality driven environment looking for growth minded members to add to our team.

  • Production team member positions includes jobs in dough make up, utilizing math skills for batching recipes, mixing ingredients to make dough in large mixers, loading dough onto an incline belt conveyor, operating the sheeting line, transferring products into and operating the proofer, operating fryer, filling products, decorating products by applying icings and toppings, and placing products onto racks
  • Picking store orders by route and stop sequence.

 

 Production Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Quality, demonstrates behaviors in support of quality work processes to include, Document & track production variables, downtime, product samples, and to ensure proper blending of ingredients by weight or automatic metering systems, follow and document accurately time and temperature points in recipe specifications to ensure product quality attributes for size, shape, color, and appearance meets specifications.
  • Safety, demonstrated behaviors in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.
  • Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Work as a member of a team environment or group of people
  • Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow Company safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones, proper lifting technics, etc.), use personal protective equipment, and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed.
  • Initiative: Self-starter, gets involved quickly, takes on difficult tasks with enthusiasm. Takes action to achieve goals beyond what is required.

  • Ability to stand / walk over the course of an 8 or 10 hour shift
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule shift, work weekends, and most holidays
  • Properly store, wrap, label, date and rotate products and materials as defined in our facility processes.
  • Technology proficient with the ability to learn and use computer program [ i.e. SAGE] to manage and track processes from receiving, production, picking, and delivery.
  • Keep bakery area and floors clean, dry and free from debris
  • Assist in the cleaning and deep cleaning of the production areas including equipment, coolers and freezers
  • Assist in the set-up and physical counting of all weekly and monthly inventories
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist other members of the bakery team where needed
  • Job requires frequent twisting, bending and turning. Job will occasionally require pushing and pulling of wheeled racks and tables over 100 lbs.
  • Associate must have good hand and eye co-ordination to work on fast speed conveyor belts.
  • Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Production and Quality guidelines
  • Work around and with cleaning chemicals

 

 Production Team Member Requirements:

  • Shift Hours: 4am-10pm with staggered start times (subject to change with monthly training and volume demands)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must have a valid Driver Licenses
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Candidate must be able to lift heavy objects repeatedly
  • Previous experience in a Bakery (Preferred)
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Read, write and communicate in English. 
  • Must have dependable transportation to get from and to the job (i.e. car, bus, uber, etc…)
